Louise Kaye
Currently my work is studio based. I make large scale drawings and paintings that cover the wall, that you could step into, I see them as an environment. The natural world is my inspiration. I work en plein air, intimately, bowled over, and then the paint, the colour and the marks take over. Sliding between private and public worlds, painting expresses emotion where words fail. The point of the work: to draw attention to our environment in the crisis we face.
